WINGS2009 is an international experience for Guides and Scouts from all around the world. It will be based in Windsor Great Park in the Royal County of Berkshire in the UK for a week starting 1 August 2009. All who attend will have fun, be challenged, have adventures and make new friendships that will last.

WINGS2009 will have all the great favourites from WINGS2003, WINGS'98 and WINGS'93 and some spectacular new ideas to match the start of the second hundred years of Scouting and Guiding. Book this date now!

WINGSZone and TakeOff Launched

WINGSZone is an area of public access to help participants, parents, friends and supporters to find out a bit more about WINGS2009 - We will be adding to it in the build-up to WINGS2009 and the WINGSZone will have all the news and photos fromk the event itself. more

Take Off offers an opportunity for all members of the Scouting and Guiding movements to be part of the WINGS2009 experience in the build up to and then at camp itself. It is open to all, and not just those units attending the WINGS2009 experience. more

Less than 1 year to go!

Only a year to go before we will all meet up at WINGS2009. For some this may seem a long time, for others including the project team and myself, this does not seem long at all!

I hope that everyone will enjoy the adventure and challenge of WINGS2009, the fun, the excitement and friendship of a truly international experience.

The theme of the camp is, “Making a Difference” and we hope that individuals and units will become involved in this prior to the event by using the activity ideas in the “join in” programme and this will continue throughout the week by a variety of opportunities and activities.

I look forward to seeing you all next year at WINGS2009, ready to build new and lasting friendships.

Apply for specific roles in WINGS2009

To apply for specific roles at WINGS2009, first Register and then log on to the StaffZONE and hit the Apply for Role button and take it from there. Roles currently inviting applications are the members of the WINGS2009 Project Team who will manage the delivery of the Complete WINGS2009 Experience.
